It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

ABSTRACT

Current Practice

This project explores colour, line, texture, space, movement and process. I find it satisfying to abstract an image and create a piece of art that can be read in a variety of ways. What I see as the creator is not what the viewer sees. I was once challenged to be innovative in my approach to this. Not to be fixated on the viewer seeing a recognisable image but instead distort and display subtle hints that may connect to the viewers own experience of the world.
